Following his outbursts during a Kenya Kwanza rally in Vihiga County on Wednesday, July 13, Deputy President William Ruto was accused of having a problem controlling his rage. Ruto said that he lost his temper because of the country’s poor economic position, which has caused the cost of living to soar.
He said that his rivals were unaware of the dire situation the nation was in, with Kenyans bearing the brunt of it all.
“My detractors are alleging that I have an anger problem, but who can laugh with the current economic situation in the country? We are not happy. There are Kenyans who sleep hungry because of the high cost of living. We are angry because things are not okay,” he stated
DP Ruto however, did not comment on the verbal attack on a young supporter during a rally in Vihiga county.
Ruto admonished a fan for interjecting during his remarks to the crowd at the rally. Supporters of ANC Vihiga gubernatorial candidate Alfred Agoi and UDA Sabatia parliamentary candidate Clement Sloya frequently disrupted the DP’s address.
“The next government will not be built based on chaos. Leadership will not be founded on conflict so I urge all of you to be patient and all the politicians will be given a chance to address you,” he added.
