About the Position:

  • Kirk TV is looking for a Digital Editor who is passionate about the intersection of television and digital media. This is an important role that involves curating, editing, and optimizing digital content to engage Kirk Tv’s online audience and enhance our digital presence. If you’re a digital enthusiast with a knack for storytelling and a passion for television, we would like you to be part of our innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curate, edit, and publish compelling digital content, including articles, videos, photographs and social media posts to engage Kirk TV’s online audience.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team (reporters and editors), videographers, and graphic designers to produce multimedia content that aligns with our digital strategy.
  • Optimize digital content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and reach.
  • Monitor digital analytics and use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and enhanceperformance.
  • Develop and execute creative digital content campaigns to support television programming and initiatives.
  • Manage content calendars and publishing schedules to ensure consistent and timely delivery of digital content.
  • Stay current with digital media trends and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for audience
  • engagement and growth.
  • Uphold high editorial standards and ethical practices in digital media.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and social media, to align digital content with overall brand objectives.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years as a digital editor, preferably in the media or broadcasting industry.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong grasp of grammar and style.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and digital analytics.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for digital storytelling and content creation.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for television and a deep appreciation for the evolving landscape of digital media.
  • A deep appreciation of the media landscape and emerging content trends.
