Kenyan Gospel Musician Bahati

Mathare MP aspirant Kevin Kioko, alias Bahati, broke down in tears while speaking to the media at Luke Hotel Nairobi.

Even after winning all of the opinion surveys, the MP candidate claimed that the party had revoked the certificate he had been awarded.

He went on to say that he was told to resign in favor of sitting MP Anthony Oluoch, which he refused to do.

“After receiving the nomination certificate, I was told to step down,” he stated, adding that despite the latest events, he will not withdraw from the Mathare Parliamentary campaign.

He claimed that the Jubilee party nomination certificate was awarded in a dishonest manner, despite the fact that the party had held free and fair primaries.

“I personally have made a decision that I’m not backing down from the race. My name will be on the ballot on August 9.”
