Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha during a breaking ground ceremony for the construction of two classrooms in Mombasa secondary for the physically handicapped, and as he inspected the progress of the construction of a new Mama Ngina Girls National Secondary School in Shanzu, Mombasa County, he issued instructions to school heads concerning rebellious students.

” The renegade children who want to go home to rest, we shall allow them. If there is a child who doesn’t want to go to school and wants to go and rest with his parents, to take exams from home, let him go, rather than destroy the infrastructure, because it is very ridiculous for a child because you want everyone to suffer therefore you burn the school and everyone suffers we are going to be extremely vigilant,” CS Magoha said.

CS Magoha wants teachers to be more careful and observant, keeping notorious students away from school to prevent more fire cases in our schools. He also added that the ministry had delivered funds to schools ahead of the new term set to commence on January 4, 2022.

” No Kenyan child should be out of school because of fees in new year, the government will ensure money is there by that time by January,” he said.

CS Magoha is expected to open the Kenya Primary Schools Head Teachers Association conference on Tuesday where 10,000 members are expected to attend to discuss the CBC curriculum, COVID 19 and among other agendas.
