The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)  electronic had launched the electonic voter verification process three months to the D-day.

Kenyans can check the specifics of their registration by sending an SMS or using the portal, according to an IEBC statement from Thursday, May 5.

Voters who have already registered to vote can submit their ID or passport numbers to 70000 by SMS or they  may enter their information on the online by going to the IEBC voter verification portal. The electoral authority further instructed that inaccurate data will be corrected before the exercise was concluded.

“Visit the commission website portal verify.iebc.or.ke. In the event, your details are incorrectly captured, visit your registration center,” read part of the statement.

In addition, the IEBC stated that its employees will assist Kenyans having trouble with the technological procedures in its registration centers located all throughout the nation.

“Visit your registration center or IEBC office in your constituency with your original ID or valid passport that you used to register as a voter,” IEBC stated.

IEBC shall submit information on the voter’s name, gender, date of birth, county, constituency, ward, and voting place upon verification.
