Education CS George Magoha

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has activated its portal, allowing 2021 KCSE candidates to start applying for their university and college courses after education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha issued a decree.

Prof. Magoha declared on Friday while at Thika Girls Karibaribi Secondary School in Kiambu County that the application site would be open from May 20, 2022 to June 2, 2022.

“All the 144,466 Kenyans with C+ and above who sat the 2021 KCSE examination are eligible to apply for degree programmes in the 70 universities,” he said.

He also urged 2021 KCSE candidates who received the required university entrance mark to apply for studies at Technical and Vocational and Educational Training institutes and Teacher Training Colleges. Over 6,000 Kenyans who qualified for degree programs opted for diploma programs last year.

For the first time, students will be admitted to the 32 government primary teacher training institutions through KUCCPS. These TTCs are open to KCSE candidates from 2021 and preceding years, including non-citizens.
