United Democratic Alliance and Kenya Kwanza Alliance crown DP William Ruto as their preferred presidential flagbearer during UDA’s National Delegates Conference at the Moi International Sports Complex, Kasarani.

They have invited ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi and Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua who denounced claims by the media that she will be in attendance.

Party says the total population anticipated is defined with 10,000 participants expected who include around 4,350 delegates and another 5,600.

“Our budget is for 4,350 party delegates. Add about 5,600 aspirants as well as our partners and the total expected population is defined,” UDA Secretary General Veronica Maina.

UDA’s main agenda at the NDC will be endorsing DP William Ruto as their presidential candidate enabling DP Ruto to form his political formation which involves appointing a running mate and signing agreements with his partners.

“The issues with our common relationship with our partner parties has been a bone of contention. While the NDC might sanction us to enter into cooperation, the nitty gritty of actual relationships will be bred from intra-party deliberations. The beauty of it is that we are all exhibiting utmost good faith in it,” Sec-gen Maina said.

The structure is set to make Kenya Kwanza Alliance more competitive with their number one contenders Azimio la Umoja. Ford-Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetangula supported the NDC saying it will bring shape to the alliance political formation.

“We are now on the final stretch of making our political formation gain shape,” he said.
