Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student Joel Juma stabbed two times on the chest in a 2am incident.

“Juma awoke and went straight to his books,” a DCI tweet reads in part. “But at 2 a.m., he asked her to escort him to where a classmate resided a few blocks away, to collect some reference material that he required before dawn.”
Three criminals accosted the two near the hotel Lilies, demanding money and cell phones, according to detectives.

“Two of them landed blows and kicks on Juma before stabbing him twice in the left side of his chest, leaving him lying in a pool of blood on the ground.” “The third offender manhandled the lady who didn’t have anything expensive on her and fortunately, she was unharmed,” the investigators stated.

The noise drew the attention of local guards, who assisted Juma’s girlfriend in transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Investigators believe the assailants were members of a known gang that escaped the current operation to clear Kayole and Dandora of criminals and sought refuge in Gachororo.

Juma’s body has been sent to the mortuary, where it will be autopsied.
