Armed thugs broke into the Catholic Church of Christ the King Mukinduri in Kirinyaga County and took items worth more than Sh250,000.
On Sunday evening, they broke into the church and grabbed a piano and other items before making off with their assets.
“We went to church and we were shocked to find electronics and other property belonging to the church stolen,” the church’s treasurer told the Nation.
Ms. Wanjiru explained the robbers broke the window with an iron rod, gaining entry to the house of worship.
The church’s chairman requested that the police conduct in-depth investigations into the event, identify and prosecute those responsible.
