Kalonzo Musyoka continues to campaign for the position as Raila’s running partner. The wiper party’s leaders, on the other hand, may have a difficult time now that the women leaders have picked their preferred running mate. Mr. Kalonzo expected Ukambani leaders to support him for this position, but it appears that things are not progressing as planned. Ngilu, the Governor of Kitui, announced at the Jacaranda Hotel in Nairobi that they are committed to having a woman appointed as the coalition government’s running partner. She went on to say that the Kenyan constitution calls for a 50/50 split in leadership, hence the running mate should be a woman. This is a huge setback for the wiper leader who was interested in the job.
Kitui Governor Ngilu declared that they are committed to having a woman appointed as the coalition government’s running partner. The women leaders from the Azimio umbrella of 26 political parties felt that Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua is a good fit for this job.
Karua knows how to run a government because she previously served in it and was a minister. Aside from that, she was previously a candidate for the country’s highest office.
