Covid-19 cases in Kenya rise to 963

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has this afternoon announced that the country had confirmed 51 new coronavirus cases from 1,933 samples tested within the last 24 hours.

The CS, who was addressing the press at Afya House, said the total number of infections now stand at 963, with the new cases being persons of ages between 2-63 years.

He also revealed that 22 more patients had since been discharged, hence bringing the total number of Covid-19 recoveries to 358.

CS Kagwe further stated that 23 out of 47 counties have now recorded cases of Covid -19, accounting for 49%, adding that 83.2% of the overall cases have been confirmed in Nairobi (470) and Mombasa (331).
