A cross section of residents in South Mugirango constituency, Kisii County have decried disunity among local leaders saying it was the cause for poor development in the area.
Okerosi Motende, cited poor roads and water scarcity as consequences of disunity among their leaders, whereas the team leader, Okemwa Kenyanya castigated individuals who declined to cooperate with Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Dr. Fred Matiang’i.
Speaking at Nyamondo village yesterday, they appealed to Matiang’i to help unite the leaders to enable them realize socio-economic growth.
Victor Omwoyo, called out for respect towards the CS saying he was their son, and urged leaders not to drag him into politics considering his position as a civil servant.
On his part, Shem Maikara urged area Member of Parliament, Slyvanus Osoro, to liaise with the Interior CS to attract socio-economic change in the constituency.
