Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua

Martha Karua, Raila Odinga’s running partner in the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition, made a brave entry into Kirinyaga County on Tuesday.

Thousands of residents gathered out to meet Ms Karua who made history by being named Raila Odinga’s running partner in the Azimio presidential election.

She was visiting her home county for the first time since being named ODM leader Raila Odinga’s running partner.

A motorcade convoy crisscrossed the county, with state officials, county legislators, and other coalition leaders and supporters.

The parade began about 11 a.m. at the Makutano Junction and proceeded to Mutithi, Murubara, and Kutus.

The convoy included leaders like as Agriculture CS Peter Munya, Mwea MP Kabinga Wachira, Kirinyaga central MP Munene Wambugu, Kieni MP Kanini, and Jubilee party candidates.

Among the places visited by the convoy were Kagumo, Kerugoya, Kimunye, Baricho, Kagio, and Kibingoti.

“I’m grateful for you overwhelming support that you showed to me yesterday. I’m positive we shall clinch this seat so that we can continue serving you,” she affirmed.

“Rice farmers are complaining of high levies imposed on irrigation water. Munya will fix this problem once and for all when we take over power,” she stated.

Mr Odinga’s government, according to Ms Karua, would fight corruption which has harmed the country’s economy.
