The Azimio La Umoja council met for the first time in the Kenyatta International Convention Center, which was presided over by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The meeting’s minutes have finally been released, revealing that the council led by President Uhuru Kenyatta decided to form an advisory group to aid in the discovery of a more acceptable candidate for the job of running mate.


The council has suggested the development of an adviser panel to nominate a suitable candidate for the role of running mate, according to a joint statement read by The Suna East member of Parliament Junet Mohammed.


Wiper party head Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Narck Kenya leader Martha Karua, Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Kanu chairperson Gideon Moi, Mama Charity Ngilu, DAP-K leader Wafula wamunyinyi, Muranga woman rep Sabina chege, Naomi Shabani, and others are among the Azimio council members.


Junet Mohammed, the Suna East member of Parliament, is the secretary general of The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya party’s national executive council, and as such, he will be seated at the meeting by virtue of his position.
