Anne Wamuratha, an aspirant Kiambu Woman Representative, has apologized for being seen on tape throwing cake to a gathering in Ruiru.
Wamuratha was seen distributing cake from the dais before deciding to throw the pieces to the crowd in the footage that went viral.
Wamuratha acknowledged her identity in the video and indicated that the event occurred in November 2021, according to her official social media accounts.
“I wish to confirm that I am the one captured in the Viral video throwing pieces of cake to a group of people who had gathered at the Ruiru Stadium for an event on November 7th, 2021.” she said
Wamuratha asked for forgiveness, stating she regrets her acts and wishes she could go back in time and do things differently.
“I deeply, and sincerely, apologize for the action and ask the people to forgive me. If I would turn back the clock, I would distribute the cake differently.”
